A Direct Bus from New Delhi to Nepal !!!!

A direct bus from Delhi to Nepal!!!! Are you serious!!! Well, that's what my reaction was. I am really surprised and excited to hear this news because I would love to go to such a trip. This bus is going to cover 1250 kms in 30 hours with 4 night halts in Firozabad, Faizabad, Sunouli and the last one in Mugling (Nepal). So How much do I have to pay for it ?? only Rs 2300....which is around $38...that's it. This bus would leave to Nepal from New Delhi every single day at 10.00 am. So you don't have to worry about availability of buses. There is an option of advance booking and I would recommend you to book it in advance.
Oh yes!!! I have reached Nepal, How do I come back ? There is a same service from Nepal which has started at the same time. The route from Nepal to Delhi is Kathmandu - Bhairawa - Sanauli - Gorakhpur - Lucknow and back to New Delhi.

Required Paperwork for this Journey
This is awesome..Just a photo Id proof for the people of India and Nepal. Isn't it great!! Carry you photo identification proof, buy a ticket and you are on.

I always believe in enjoying the journey more than the destination so I am surely looking forward to travel on this route and I would also get to meet new people and yes nice FOOD of Nepal (how can I forget that :). Lastly, Nepal is a super awesome place to visit to and it is very economical too.

Tell me if you are also planning to take this bus, lets travel together. Top 3 Places to Visit in Winters

Hope you all are doing great, this is my first blog...so a bit of description :), I would be writing everything about traveling. From traveling tips, places to visit, what to pack for road trips, adventure sports etc.
This post is about Top 3 places to visit in winters in India. Well, if you like visiting local places, trying local food, getting to know people while traveling, winters are the best time for you to travel in India.

So here are the 3 ideal places to visit in winters -

 1)  Auli

One of the best places to visit in India specifically in winters. If you love snow, chilled weather and especially skiing, this is the best place for  you. Oh yes...If you are looking for a place for your Honeymoon and you are searching for Honeymoon Packages, I would say stop your search because you have found your destination..AULI.. How to reach this place –
a)       By Air – The nearest airport to reach Auli is Jolly grant Airport in Dehradun. Auli is around 300 kms away from this airport. You can either take a bus or private cab to Joshimath and from there you would have to take cable car which would drop you in Auli. This cable car is around 4kms long and trust me...this would be the one of the best things of your trip.
b)       By Train – Well, want to travel by train... The nearest railway station Haridwar railway station. Again from Haridwar you can take bus or cab and rest of the route is same.
c)       By Road – Traveling by road, that’s my thing...:) but it depends on number of days you have for your vacation. So the route...From Delhi – Haridwar – Joshimath – Auli. You would have to park your vehicle in Joshimath and take cable car to Auli. I would suggest that take a night halt in Haridwar and start your journey next day to Joshimath.

Skiing it is!!
2) Manali

Yes, you all have been to Manali..But have you ever been to this place in winters. Out of all the snowfall I have seen in my travelling experience, Manali is always on the top of my list after Leh Ladakh :)..Be it Manali weather or its stunning scenic beauty...I always love this place..
How to REACH???
By Air...By Train...Hell no....You want to enjoy Manali in winters...Travel only by road...If you are coming from down south or east...come to Delhi first...From Delhi, you can take bus from ISBT (Inter State Bus Terminal) or book a cab...Manali is around 600kms from Delhi. If you are driving by yourself. I would recommend you to take a night halt in Shimla...and start your journey from Shimla to Manali next day. Manali is around 250 kms from Shimla, which means 5 to 6 hours of drive. And this is the journey which will make you trip worth so I don’t want you to sleep in between which is why take a good night sleep in Shimla and move towards Manali the next day.

Nature's is at its best

 3) Nanital (Corbett National Park)

I have been to Corbett National Park, I didn’t see any tiger...Tigers?? I didn’t see anything except deer.....Well that what your experience has been..I would not blame you....because you did not visit it in the right season. Want to see tigers...go to Corbett National Park in winters...This is the season when animals come out of their houses to get sunlight.
How to reach Nainital ?
a)       By Air – The nearest airport is Pant Nagar Airport, from there take a cab or bus to reach CNP(Corbett National Park). It is around 72 kms away from the airport.
b)       By Train – Nearest railway station to CNP is Kathgodam railway station. It is around 40 kms away from the park.
c)      By Road – Looking for a road trip...great...Nainital is around 300 kms from Delhi, so you can calculate the distance from your area. From Delhi, it would take you around 5 to 6 hours to reach there.. The roads are pretty good..Once you reach the park. Either you can take their packages or you can spend a day to explore the park and then you can check out other places in Nainital. There are several places which I would personally recommend you to visit like – Snow View, Naini Lake, Tiffin Top etc.

Oh!!! Finally I see a Tiger :)
